An Overview of the Small Soaking Tub

If your new home only has smaller sized bathrooms, you may be considering simply having a soaking tub shower installed. However, the small soaking tub makes it possible to have a full sized bathtub even in the smallest of bathrooms. This may actually even be preferable to the traditional 5 foot long bathtub because most adults have a hard time fitting in them comfortably. This article will cover a few of the many reasons why the small soaking tub may be the right choice for you.

Taking baths has fallen out of practice in much of the world due to several reasons, but as people are beginning to rediscover their stress reducing properties and other health benefit they are beginning to be used once again. If you would like to go back to taking baths but have a hard time fitting in a standard Western tub, the small soaking tub may be perfect for you. These bathtubs are designed to be deeper than they are wide so you will be able to soak up to your shoulders no matter how tall you are.

Many people give up having a bathtub in their homes because they do not have much space, but this doesn’t have to be the case when you install a small soaking corner tub. Some models are even designed to fit directly into the corner so you can really make the most out of the space you have available. Others are installed with the rims level with the floor which can also help to save space when you are dealing with a small bathroom.

You have many different styles of small round soaking tub to choose from so you will be able to match the décor of your own specific bathroom. Most of them are made using a modern acrylic so they come in a variety of shapes and colors. Besides the standard white, other popular colors you may want to consider include almond, white, and biscuit. If you want to try something different besides acrylic, you can find a bathtub made from cast iron. These are very durable and keep the water warm for a long time, but they are quite heavy so they are not used much anymore.

If you are elderly or disabled, you may want to purchase a small soaking tub that has special features built in that can make bathing easier. Most often this includes a door that is built into the side of the tub which can make getting in and out of the bathtub easy. Of course, this means that you cannot enter or exit the bathtub unless it is empty. Sometimes special seats are built in too which can automatically lift you in and out of the tub. These can be a little pricey though so they are not too common.
